Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This policy explains what OverWithTech (“we,” “us”) collects, why, and what we do with it — for you (our customer) and for visitors to the websites we host for you.
1. What we collect
- Account & identity: your phone number (it’s how the service works), and optionally your name, email, and password if you claim a dashboard account.
- Business information: what you tell us to put on your website — business name, services, hours, address, phone, photos, testimonials you provide. This is content you intend to publish.
- Messages: the SMS conversation between you and our platform number, so we can build and edit your site and hand the thread to a human when you ask.
- Leads: when someone submits a form on your website, we store the submission (name, contact details, message, and the sender’s IP address for spam filtering) and forward it to you.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers — Stripe processes payment and shares with us only what we need (e.g. subscription status, last four digits). See Stripe’s privacy policy for how they handle your data.
- Site analytics: we count pageviews on your published site using a tiny beacon. It records that a page was viewed — daily counts per site. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles, and it respects visitors’ Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings.
2. How we use it
- To build, host, and maintain your website — the thing you’re paying for.
- To send you service messages by SMS: drafts, confirmations, lead notifications, and a weekly summary of your site’s visitors and leads. Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for help. Message & data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
- To bill your subscription (via Stripe) and prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. spam-filtering form submissions).
- To improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Plain-English summary: we store your business info and your leads so your website works and new customers reach your phone. Stripe handles the money. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t run ad trackers on your site.
3. Who we share it with
Only service providers that make the product run, under contracts that limit their use of your data:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Twilio — sending and receiving SMS.
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS) — hosting your website, our systems, and backups.
- AI providers — the content you give us for your site is processed by AI models to generate and edit pages.
- Domain registrars — registering the custom domain you own.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition (your data stays protected by this policy’s commitments).
4. Your website’s visitors
If you run a website with us, you are the owner of the leads it collects; we process them on your behalf. Visitors who submit your contact form should expect their message to be delivered to you. Our pageview beacon counts visits without cookies or cross-site tracking and honors DNT/GPC.
5. Retention
We keep your account data and site content while your subscription is active. If you cancel, your site is parked, not immediately deleted — so you can come back. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time (Section 7). Lead submissions are retained until you delete them or your account is deleted. Message logs are retained as needed to run the service and meet legal obligations.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to what staff need to support you, and payments never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you as required by law.
7. Your choices & rights
- SMS: reply STOP to stop texts, HELP for help. (Note: the service is text-based, so stopping all SMS limits what we can do for you.)
- Access / export / delete: email support@overwithtech.com to get a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live (e.g. California, EU/UK), you may have additional statutory rights — we honor verified requests regardless.
- Do Not Track / GPC: respected by our site analytics beacon.
8. Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we’ll notify you by text or email before they take effect. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
10. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: support@overwithtech.com, or text HUMAN to our platform number.
